Matthew W. Anderson, PE, President
Matthew joined CONTECH in 2015 as a Senior Consultant and moved up to Principal in 2024. He has now transitioned to serving as CONTECH's President. He has over 33 years of experience in design, inspection, construction and management. He started “hands-on” performing inspections and engineering design, then continued his career with a several contractors to better understand the construction and estimating processes. He also owns an engineering firm and a construction services company. Matt has evaluated evaluated claims ranging from $10,000 to $250M providing quantity and cost take-offs and standard of care reviews. He has served as an expert witness in a variety of cases.

Dennis J. Kakol, Principal
Dennis has over 40 years of various construction-related experience. He has extensive experience in evaluating all aspects of construction defect, complex delay, acceleration, disruption and impact claims on a large variety of projects.
Prior to founding CONTECH, Dennis managed a major construction claims and management company where he directed the preparation and evaluation of claims with amounts as large as $750M. He directed assignments for clients through regional managers nationwide. He also managed the construction, start up and related consulting services for corporations involved with the nuclear and fossil fuel industries, and has consulted with utilities on construction management, scheduling, start up, and testing.
Education:
United States Navy - Graduate level courses in nuclear power plant operation, design and construction with a heavy emphasis on electrical generation and distribution
Cornell University Graduate School of Engineering - Masters in Nuclear Engineering with emphasis on nuclear power plant design
Cornell University School of Engineering - Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis on electrical and nuclear theory.
